New tab page

Shortcuts, the agent box and wallpapers.

Every new tab (Ctrl+T ) opens the Aetherium new tab page. It has four parts.

1. Search

Click Search the web or type a URL and type. It works exactly like the address bar.

2. Ask the agent

Type a request into Ask the agent to do something for you and press Enter. The agent panel opens and starts on it straight away. If the agent is not set up yet, your text waits in the box while you choose how it runs. See AI agent.

3. Shortcut tiles

  • Click a tile to open the site; Ctrl-click or middle-click opens it in a background tab.
  • Hover a tile and click its × to remove it.
  • Click + Add shortcut, type a Name and the address, and press Save. https:// is added for you if you leave it out. You can have up to 24 tiles.
Good to know
With Sync on, your tiles follow you to your other computers (New tab shortcuts).

4. Background picture

  1. Click the picture button at the bottom right (Change background).
  2. Pick one of the built-in pictures (Aurora, Ocean dusk, Rice terraces, Mayon volcano, Spiral galaxy and more), Theme default, or Upload a picture to use your own.
  3. Press Esc or click outside to close the gallery. Your own picture can be changed or removed from the same place.
